In the summer of 2021, I was approached by the owner of Illegal Pete’s, a west coast based restaurant chain, to complete a mural at one of the Denver restaurant locations. The imagery of the mural was based off of the game ‘Lotería’ and incorporated sentimental elements from the owner’s personal history and the story of the business. I designed the mural myself and completed it with the help of my friend and fellow artist Semilla Coronado (Semilla Besada). The mural took about a month from start to finish to complete and is still my largest scale painting project to this day, measuring at approximately 40 feet wide and 9 feet tall.
